Today’s Reflection/Ramble/Poetry is- Growth

“I never imagined in my life, that I would be rediscovering who I am

and in so doing choosing a new path in which to travel”

On a journey of my soul, I find more than not, the path ventured, leads straight back to me… and why not, as growth is such a uniquely personal revelation; an awakening of the senses, usually sneaking up when least expected, and bringing to light those ‘aha’ moments …

Yet, growth is a beautiful thing too, a journey in which the path is always the fork in the road and a choice to make, on which way to go…

Often though, with growth, comes pain and uncomfortable feelings: for in our metamorphosis state of being, we discover the world within is changing…

Change is scary, it takes us out of our comfort zone, flooding us in a deluge of emotions, all the while, blissfully freeing one’s self in a newfound awareness…

And like a butterfly leaving the safety of her cocoon, eyes open for the first time, again and again…

Threads unravel, hinges become unhinged

As I take the road less traveled

A beginning to an end

Seeking what is found, buried deep inside

The fireworks resound!

Illuminating a once darkened sky

For no longer desired- “said” greener grass

I now reach higher on the wanton path…
